A few words about our loved one:
Famous for starring in 'The Dam Busters' film playing a character called 'Wing Commander Guy Gibson'.
He was a friend of Ian Flemming's and due to other work comittments missed out on the role of James Bond (007) in Dr. No. Which ended up going to Sean Connery.
Richard was a British soldier who served huge parts in both 'Operation Tonga' & 'Operation Overlord'.
In 1993 he was appointed with the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
